FLORIAN

The partnerships agreed by VM&E with companies communicating with Venice, concern naturally even Venetian historical brands, like Caffè Florian, that celebrated in 2010 the 290° anniversary from its foundation in Piazza San Marco.
In the occasion of this important anniversary a celebration in great style has been set up, in the name of the elegance and the atmosphere that characterize all over the world one of the most well-known Venetian Cafes: an event in Piazza San Marco, organized by Fondaco Srl in partnership with VM&E, made of art, theater and music, with the presence of three big Italian artists Fabrizio Plessi, Silvio Orlando and Francesco Maccianti.

500 guests attended the performances of the artists, who paid homage to the Florian through particular creations: Silvio Orlando recited, sitting at one of the historical tables, a passage taken from "Fondamenta degli incurabili" by Brodskji, Fabrizio Plessi conceived a suggestive composition of flows of water called "290 liquid seconds" that materialized the logo of the Cafe on the notes of "Palladio allegro" by Karl Jenkins, while the jazz pianist Francesco Maccianti entertained the audience with his music performed on the keyboard of a legendary Steinway. And the magic setting of Piazza San Marco without lights, lit only by 100 small candles, has been the backdrop of the event.

In the occasion, the new owner and managing company of the Cafe Florian, engaged in confirming the international fame of the Cafe and of the brand, has been presented to the city authorities.
