On the occasion of the 2009 and 2010 editions of the Carnival of Venice "Sensation", the Regione Veneto collaborated with Venezia Marketing & Eventi realizing a collateral event inside the official programme of the event. The aim of Regione Veneto was to promote the wine and food typical local products and their producers. The Veneto Council worked therefore to get the most important locations, with the purpose to reach a national and international public.
The Carnival of Venice, with around 1.000.000 Italian and foreigner visitors, it's an excellent showcase to promote the products and to get the best visibility.
This is the reason why in the Sestiere of Cannareggio - Campo San Geremia, an area called "Campo del Gusto" (Taste Square) has been created and entirely devoted to the Venetian wine and food division.
From Thursday 19th to Tuesday February 24th 2009 and from Thursday 11th to Tuesday February 16th 2010 a rich programme of events and demonstrations have been developed in Campo del Gusto, entirely devoted to the typical products and to spectacular entertainments made of creative cuisine and food sculptures. Inside a gazebo, a calendar of cooking lessons by the most famous Venetian Chefs have have been attended by hundreds of spectators.
The event offered to a local public company like Regione Veneto the chance to promote the territory and its products. Through this important partnership, Venezia Marketing & Eventi knew how to give a suitable and satisfactory answer to the demand of visibility of the client.
